nfs export problem configuration not correct

Tapas,

/media/vol2/ /mnt/nfs (rw,sync,no_subtree_check)

This is not a valid entry for /etc/exports file.
if you want to export /media/vol2 then entry should be

/media/vol2  * (rw,sync,no_subtree_check)

* available this share to all hosts otherwise you can mention IP/Netmask or
hostname also.

Try this and ask if you still have any confusion.
