Since they insist on Unity, the best approach would be to ask which
Shell we want to be installed, during installation.
Otherwise I guess we will see some distribution named Gubuntu, GNOME
Shell Ubuntu, or something like this.
The good news is that we have Ubuntu 10.10 until they make up their
minds to go to the GNOME Shell way, in Ubuntu 11.10.
