Can you confirm that the updates were completed successfully? The error
here states that it is unable to find the the kernel (vmlinuz).

Is it possible to boot this VM using a previous snapshot?

Alternatively, you could try a few things from online articles:

1.
http://eng.eelcowesemann.nl/linux-unix/xenserver/partition-containing-kernel-xenserver/

2. On this page (
http://blog.403labs.com/post/1546501840/paravirtulization-with-citrix-xenserver-5-5-and-ubuntu),
the solution outlined is the following -

xe vm-param-set uuid=<UUID>
PV-bootloader-args="--kernel=/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-server
--ramdisk=/initrd.img-2.6.32-21-server"

Replace the parameters according to your settings.
