I've dropped Quicksynergy for the server and one client - the Win XP
laptop still uses it and don't use a Mac but putting the program into
startup apps works fine with the config file in /etc rather than my home
dir - which seems to have been causing the problem. Once the server is
running both clients start and connect w/o the need for an extra keyboard.
