Okay I have downloaded and extracted the two files (since my language being
US_EN). The extracted two files are as follows:
LibO_3.4.4rc2_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US
LibO_3.4.4rc2_Linux_x86_helppack-deb_en-US
Open a terminal.

Okay, my case I run:
cd Desktop/LibO_3.4.4rc2_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US

Running this command yields errors:
linuxsafe at linuxsafe-desktop:~/Desktop/LibO_3.4.4rc2_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US$
sudo dpkg -i *
[sudo] password for linuxsafe:
dpkg-split: error reading DEBS: Is a directory
dpkg: error processing DEBS (--install):
subprocess dpkg-split returned error exit status 2
dpkg-split: error reading readmes: Is a directory
dpkg: error processing readmes (--install):
subprocess dpkg-split returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
DEBS
readmes
linuxsafe at linuxsafe-desktop
:~/Desktop/LibO_3.4.4rc2_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US$
And I am returned back to the prompt!
So from now onwards, what I do?
