Xournal: how to use for an existing pdf?

You can't edit it, it is the background, but you can white 
out the information and place new information over the top. 
One cavet, if you white out information and export as pdf, 
when the pdf is opened it will show the original information 
for a moment before the whiteout is placed over the top so 
for instance if you want to remove sensitive information do 
not send them the altered pdf. I print out the file and 
rescan for such things.
