As it doesn't know the display controller name, only the devide number
0116, I would assume that your kernel doesn't know that device good
enough to use the desired resolution. I would suggest to try a newer
kernel. There are backported kernels available in the 10.04 repos. Try
the packages "linux-image-generic-lts-backport-maverick" and "linux-
image-generic-lts-backport-natty".
