Trying to Load Ubuntu 11.04 onto HP Laptop. Failed at reboot

Hi Goh
Yes it was done from a live CD boot.
Live CD works fine
Ubuntu boots up and does everything that I have tried so far. It complains
about it being a minimal install but does things.
Having got that far I thought that installing would be a breeze.
Anyway I will keep trying
Peter

Okay, thanks for explaining. Figured it might help Peter too with the
explanation.
Oh, sorry I did not address the earlier cdrom sr0 mount points question.
Figured it's best on a separate post. I think most likely Peter's boot
info script is generated from a livecd boot hence the resulting mount
points.
If that is the case, it also mean that Peter's computer should be able
to handle running of Ubuntu (which I wonder earlier, considering his
celeron, etc specs) which again is good to know. Also it cannot be from
a running OS, otherwise he won't have the problem he's having.
Peter, please confirm that the bootinfo script is generated by running
livecd.
