I think this would be consistant the uuid message you are seeing:
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/a0c7<
snipped> does not exist. Dropping to a shell!
When you change to another disk, that disk will have it's own unique
uuid. Goh can help you pinpoint & modify.
