I presume that in your options for the list you have got 'Receive your
own posts to the list' set to yes? I suspect this will not help as
gmail may suppress the initial one you send anyway. In addition,
however, there is an option 'Receive acknowledgement mail when you
send mail to the list' which would presumably allow you to confirm
that it has got there ok. I must admit that I am not sure what the
fuss is about though, I cannot remember a post to this list from my
gmail account getting lost. Just have Faith in Google.
