Permission to directory in /var/www

    sudo chmod 777 -R GNDEC-SMS-Service
    Still it didn't work.Even it gave strange output.Now when i browse to
/var/www/directory browse shows just a black page (having nothing on it)
instead of the previous forbidden message.
