It probably isn't your doing at all, but gmail which is causing it.
That said, who knows what the list server 'should' do or even what it
does do? That has been a bone of contention for some time.  All I know
is that your mail comes here with these headers (I've highlighted the
Reply-To: with asterisks):

Not being a gmail user I really don't understand why it does some of
the things it does.  (not that being a gmail user would change that
lack of knowledge)
