VirtualBox guest additons on Natty beta 1

I downloaded the Natty beta 1 and installed it in a virtualbox on my 
10.04 amd64 system.  I can't get the guest additions to work.

I am using version 3.1.6_59338.  During the installation I see a message 
saying "Unknown version of X Windows, not installing X Windows drivers". 
After the installation finishes the guest additions are not shown as 
enabled.  At least part of it gets installed because when I tried to 
reinstall it uninstalled what was there first.

Has anyone got this working?
