Interesting, will this RedoMBR bring back or set back the original grub
and set that to mbr (sda)? Even if the grub is from Ubuntu and there is
no PCLinux on the hard drive?
Anyway, to set back the original grub from Cybe's method, booting up
Ubuntu livecd and then
sudo grub-install --root-directory=/path_to_Ubuntu/partition /dev/sda
Or simply use a grub-rescue cd that you made beforehand.
Or a more complicated chroot from the livecd as mentioned in Ubuntu's
documentation.
