Upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04 LTS (BORKED)

Heh. Nuked network manager from the VERY start. Yeah, the reluctance to 
switch to Karmic is partly because of the iffy migration from grub to 
grub2. But I guess I will have to bite the bullet one day and go through 
Karmic and then to Lucid.
