Upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04 LTS (BORKED)

I have not had these completely fail on me (did 8.04 -> 8.10 -> 9.04) 
but I have stopped at 9.04...got the jitters with Karmic (9.10). LTS -> 
LTS release should usually work fine though...
