You haven't heard then have you?  The ATI brand is dead, gone,
deceased.  The company isn't, but the brand name is.  For now on
everything that was once called ATI will now be AMD, so future Raideon
cards will be called AMD Raideon HDXXXXX for example.

I think it was a marketing move prompted by the development of the
Ontario APU.  Its an SoC, System-On-a-Chip, processor combining a
Phenom II CPU with a low-end Raideon GPU on the same silicon.  Early
tests of beta hardware show the graphics out-perform integrated
graphics cards on the motherboard, but still doesn't out-perform
discrete cards.
