Thanks, been reading the first, lots of stuff there, inc one link to

I did the first two steps of this work around. I noticed that
someone had sound through the earphones and not the speakers so I
bought some earphones, plugged them in and indeed I have sound. Will
google this and see if i find anything.
I leave here at 1pm eastern to drive to the airport. I return to
Panama today and will not be online between then and around 1130
eastern time.
