can you run ubuntu NFS with nothing but NFSv4?

several months back, as i was playing with fedora, i tried (just as
an experiment) to configure fedora so that it was running NFS with
only NFSv4 support and no earlier versions. theoretically, that
should have worked if both clients and servers agreed on the version.
didn't work, as some of the NFS service scripts still seemed to
think that earlier versions were mandatory, and a couple fedora folks
looked at it and agreed that there were still a few bugs in the
system.
has anyone tried that with ubuntu? can you set up NFS so that only
v4 is supported? i'm just curious.
