debmirror from a debian

How would I find what mirror(s) may be available for a given distro, so 
as to "test"
them?  There may, for example, be 5 mirrors for Debian, 3 for Ubuntu, 6 
for SuSE, etc.
I assume each has a distinct name and location.  Please expand on your 
advice.
