That's just silly.  One of the biggest virtues of Linux is its
stability and (supposed) immunity to viruses.  With it (Linux) in the
virtual environment on a Winduhs machine it is subject to the Winduhs
(in)stability and a virus that brings down Winduhs does the same to its
programs.

If a virtual Winduhs doesn't do it for you then just run (shudder,
quake) Winduhs.  ...maybe on a separate box that you care little about.
