Unity and dual monitors?

Thanks for the reply, anyway.  I am only trying out things and don't
have any expectations, nor will I be making a determination before the
release of more mature code.  I fully realize that  Unity is very new
and not even fully designed just yet.

That I did not know, thanks, I'll google for it.  (I suppose that you
meant Unity since that was the subject matter.  Easy mistake to make,
though, with both making waves in the Linux/Ubuntu news recently.)

I'm happy with Compiz.  I have yet to read anything about Mutter that
compares/contrasts it with Compiz or other compositing WMs.
Heck, I haven't even been able to find a really good /description/ of
what to expect from it.
