Thunderbird flashes up an error in the middle of your screen if you try
and send a message with nothing in the Subject field in the Header and
won't send it until you either type in the Subject or "force" TB to send
the message without a Subject.
However, it will accept posts which have the Subject field blank but,
nevertheless, it threads them correctly because it threads on message ID
and not subject.
Which is what Christopher is on about I suspect when he talks about
"subjectless posts" (or whatever the words he used).
