ttf font not working

named satluj, used for site http://www.ajitjalandhar.com/ is not
working. Fonts are installed. Site not rendered in Punjabi language
with these fonts.

In OpenOffice, Under different font, I see "blank rectangles" between
font names "Saab" and "Sawasdee". On clicking that name, satluj
appear, but on typing, only "blank rectangles" appears. I am using
latest Ubuntu with all updates applied.

Does it require some additional software?
