You may be running into some specific virtualization issues. Try playing
with the "System" settings of the VM.
In the Processor tab, toggle the "Enable PAE/NX" check box.
In the Acceleration tab, toggle the "Enable VT-x/AMD-V" and/or "Enable
Nested Paging" check boxes.
Try combinations of these settings. Probably first disabling the 2
settings in Acceleration...
Anti virus software tends to make serious assumptions as to what the
physical memory of the machine it runs on really is like. And when you
are emulating all of that in a virtualized environment, you never know.
