Nobody said they do. As a matter of fact, I implied that it (VMware
Workstation) provided modifications, while I should have altered it to
be more elaborative to modules but who the hell cares. It no longer
needs to fully modify the kernel, but there are still some hypervisors
that do fully modify the kernel (and provide kernels) for guest
operating systems. Including some higher tier VMware products.

Please stop posting apt-cache show package information, I know what the
package is, I don't need it posted with everyone of your posts. It's a
waste of screen space.
