I understand, I thought about desktops as this thread started about a server. 
Laptops (specialy if you use an SDD) may be a problem. But then it's not so 
difficult to create an image of your drive on an external HD so you can just 
copy back the stuff if the upgrade goes wrong (I use Image for Linux for 
this: my Lenovo has a 64 GB SDD but there too I choose to use all the space 
(When I think that my first HD had 20 MB and I felt it was soo big :)
