video problem

Hello,
I am running a fresh install of 10.10 and am having a slight problem. My
computer is doing great, except every 30seconds - 1 minute, the video
skips for about a quarter of a second even if the processor is not at
full demand. It happens even if no programs are running. I have a dell
inspiron 6000, 1.73ghz proc, and 1gig ram, intel 915gm graphic card
Any help would be great even if it is just to tell me it is because my
computer is pretty old.
