I suppose it would; both do the exact same thing.
As always with a new release, for most it will be better/easier to just
wait 20-30 days following the relesae. By that time 10.10 will have been
somewhat shaken out by "regular users" with the usual myriad of issues
that can't/aren't found in alpha/beta/RC releases.
