how to take a screenshot of transient dialogs?

  perhaps i'm missing the obvious solution, but is there a way to take
a screenshot that includes transient dialogs like, say, the speaker
dialog i get if i left-click on the speaker icon in the top right?

  typically, dialogs like that capture the input so that you can't do
anything else until you dismiss them, so the standard techniques for
doing screenshots don't work.

  thoughts?
