I tried changing to online, and also tried 8.8.8.8 as the URL but

Firefox says:

Server not found .... try again

according to Windows the network is WPA encrypted,

presumably on Ubuntu I should select "Wireless Security" to

WPA & WPA2 Personal

?

if there is any info I can get from the Windows side which does function

let me know, eg I found its WPA encrypted from the Windows side.

or if I should install a different version of Ubuntu,
