Apropos wireless mice: I was recently asked by a client to come and get
his new wireless keyboards and mice working. He'd bought two new laptops
and had purchased a wireless keyboard + mouse combo for each.

When I arrived he said he'd tried everything but they didn't work. His
method: Place the keyboard in front of the laptop, place the mouse just
to the right of the keyboard, sit down, start typing and mousing.
Nothing happened. And he had double checked that everything had fresh
batteries.

I explained that they were not *completely* wireless; you do have to
plug the little black box into a USB port on the laptop. "Oh!", he said.
"I wondered what that was for!"

Regards, K.
