If you're going to "dkms" a driver, you need some source files for it
in a particular place (/usr/src) and a dkms.conf file.  These are not
included in the L&G driver from nvidia (260.19,.12), so if you're
using that one and you don't have connections at nvidia to obtain said
source, I'm pretty sure you can't.

If you managed to install the dkpg/apt repository version of that
driver and it works, then you should be able to do so.  Man dkms says
how to do it....
