FULLY functional install of Ubuntu 10.10 to USB stick in a WinXP enviroment

I didn't intend to.
I used the screens given by going to/thru 
System>Administration>Startup Disk Creator .

I had noted however that the screens presented did not seem to 
exactly match the information I got from the associated help 
files. I figured just another case of documentation be behind 
released code.
