I use Firefox primarily to watch shows on the web, mainly because of
Flashgot, and the only problems I've ever had watching the shows is
when the site is too slow for a decent download speed.  Never had an
issue with which version of flash I have.

I'd go with the person who suggested you ignore warnings to "get the
latest" - a lot of times thoses are due to IE-based web site
incompatibilities with "other' (i.e., better) browsers.

Have you tried using Chrome?
