Best to start with plain jane stereo, then select SLOWLY up from there
and stop when it quits. My 6.1 system only works with 4.0 surround.
Selecting anything higher gives me nothing. Is that pulse's fault or my
cheap-ass sound system? The answer lies somewhere in-between. Alsamixer
also won't play with anything other than that, so I just go with what
works and all of my speakers are thumping out the tunes. Life is good.
It sure beats what we had before. Since I use a USB headet with mike, I
have selected no input (muted) from my regular sound system. No need for
feedback going on or wasting the soundcard's attention to a non-existant
mike. The duplex might have been the cause. Ric
