No, the OP provided no information to begin with: all he stated was that 
he installed 10.10 and had no sound.

What you are referring to, it seems, is that Douglas Pollard "hijacked" 
the thread with his own problem and everyone has been attending to his 
concern and have forgotten about the OP, Nathan Bahn.
