Let's start over & try to keep the responses in *this* thread. From what
I gather you have:

02:08.0 Ethernet Controller: Intel Corporation 82562ET/EZ/GZ - PRO/100 VE
(LOM) Ethernet Controller Mobile (rev 01)
	Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 30d5
	Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 20
	Memory at f0101000 (32-bit, non presentable) [size=4k]
	I/O ports at 2000 [size=64]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
	Kernel driver in use: e100
	Kernel modules: e100

And so it appears that the kernel module e100 is loaded. Can you please
provide the following output:

Post the following (completely):

$ cat /etc/hosts
$ cat /etc/network/interfaces
$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
$ nm-tool
$ sudo lshw -c network
$ ifconfig
$ lsmod
$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
$ dmesg | grep e100

Note: I realise that you have no network while doing this, so instead
boot to Ubuntu, do all of the commands, open the text editor (gedit -
Applications|Accessories|gedit) and paste them there & save the file.
Then post the results of the file here either via Windows or an Ubuntu
liveCD to the following (*don't* post it here):

http://paste.ubuntu.com/

Paste the results in the 'Content' box, click 'Paste!' and post the
resulting URL/link for the file results.
