I have other laptops running Linux, one is FEDORA and another KUBUNTU, 
they run flawlessly, BUT, the battery life is poor as is most laptops 
with the exception of my Netbook, which is why I keep trying to run one 
of the distros to where I can enjoy at least 7 hours of battery live.
Oh well, I imagine unity will be eventually updated and appropriate 
fixes applied.
