By your standards we would also probably still be living a Flintstones
lifestyle apparently.  Asla is legacy, so is your software, tell the
programmers to fix it, it is not Ubuntu's fault, or problem.  Ubuntu is
rapidly evolving, not *trying* to steadily regress, as you imply you
would surely like it to do.
