That page is mostly correct...

Things it does not talk about are the relevant kerberos options to set 
in smb.conf.

The link it refers to (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Samba/Kerberos) 
is out of date for the version of samba that is supplied in Lucid.

Do not create the keytab. Samba can do that for you when you join the 
domain but you have to set relevant kerberos parameters in smb.conf.
