set FQDN for hostname

I'm not sure this will help you, but perhaps others might comment on
the significance....

I was having a problem getting samba to work on a 2nd UB box. I put
host names in /etc/samba/lmhosts and samba started working. [Plus the
usual sharing, etc.]
