Perhaps so. This box was running Mandriva 2006, and was running
comparable numbers of almost the same pgms. But, I rarely had the
memory fill up as much as it seems to do now. Could this be 'program
bloat', different memory handling, or something similar? As each
'improved' version goes by, we seem to need 30-50% more memory to run
the same pgms. If this keeps up, we may need 4 gigs just to run 'hello
world' :-)
