After reading more I started to wonder if it was the desktop effects.
Turned them off and - still a problem.
But what I did discover is my key board is also affect and not working properly.

Why is this all of the sudden happening now?
Except for updates that have come in I havent done anything to my computer.
And why is it that it - seems - to work fine in recovery low graphics mode?
Isnt the xorg still involved here?
