I use a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and a Logitech
wireless mouse. No special features on either.
I read the first link you posted and I found this in the dmesg logs:
[drm:edid_is_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 103
and that is right after: input: Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard
40000 at location.....
There are about 10 of those entries and the this entry:
radeon 0000:01:00.0: VGA-a EDID invalid
[drm:radeon_vga_detect] *ERROR* VGA-1 proved a monitor but no|invalid EDID
[drm:edid_is_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 103
I found the xorg file you were talking about as the fix.
Ran: add-apt-repository ppa:raof/aubergine
Is this just apt-get install aubergine to install?
