In order for someone to help you, you need to tell them EXACTLY what's
wrong, especially when there you have given no indication as to
whether Ubuntu is the problem or your car...So far you have asked
"when I get up at 09:00am the sky is red, if I get up at 09:01am
though the sky is green, why is this?"....

What is the file format you have downloaded? Its is copy protected?
What physical media have you put it on to play in your car? Can your
car actually play from this kind of media? Can it play the kind of
file format used? If it has DRM can it play DRM? Do you have another
device that you know works that you can this test on? Have you tested
it on any thing else? If so what were the result? What software did
you use to put the unmentioned file type you have used onto what ever
unmentioned type of media you have used?
