hijacking another thread.
@calcpage at aol.com: what this means is to start a new clean subject email
rather than simply replying to another email and changing the subject.

So, please start a *new* email/thread & I'm sure that you'll get as much
help as this list can provide. Note: the primary reason for doing this
is twofold: 1) many list users may have already killfiled the ' Goodbye
Linux/Ubuntu' thread so will never see your post, and 2) it's just
common courtesy to not hijack other threads.
That said, welcome to Ubuntu & to the list. Start a new thread & I/folks
will be more than happy to assist if possible.
