Creation of RAID via preseed/kickstart Ubuntu server 10.04LTS

Let's just say that anaconda and rpm has been taken to a higher level 
than d-i and dpkg. But we don't get about that here. Who needs to be 
able to verify checksums of binary files belonging to a particular 
package or all binary files of all packages for that matter?
