Lucid Lynx kernel 2.6.32-22 and 2.6.32-21
Tenda W541U V.2.0 WLAN USB stick, lsusb = 148f:2070 Ralink chipset,
Driver RT 2870.....
For the first time WLAN networks are detected with this stick in network manager, that was not the case in Karmic Koala, but a proper connection fails... 
wlan0 interface states:
Hardware address: compared with the MAC address, it is correct
Multicast: enabled
MTU: 1500
Link speed: not available
State: active
Statistics: there have been transmitted and received a few KiB, no reception errors and collisions reported.
I suspect the hardware (firmware) of the stick is not fully loaded or not available at all. It leads me to above conclusion, when starting Windows on the same computer, i.e. WLAN shows up as being fully connected and operational, but is not indeed, waiting for the stick to be fully connected before any transmissions are carried out.
Does anybody have dealt with a similar issue. I'd appreciate any feedback.
