Downloading Flash in Firefox

In Firefox in the url box enter
about:plugins

What do you see for your flash plugin? Should be:

Shockwave Flash

    File: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
    Version:
    Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45
